Default Columbus Machine

Does anyone have a picture of the Op Rod Piston replacement or Guide Stud rework that Columbus Machine has done?

Piston looks like any other as does the tab or lug.
There is a small area that will show that will have the Parkerizing ground off

I used them three times and their work is excellent/superb.

Fit and finish was awesome.

I had an oversized piston put on an oprod and fit to the gas cylinder. Nice work only complaint is it took a lot longer than promised

i might entertain doing my own tab repairs based on the image. i can't say on the piston replacement without seeing how their work looks. I suspect that I might do my own. I did one years ago. It came out ok considering. I think that I would have a lot better results today.

Same. I've had them do 3 or 4. Great work, but took a lot longer than it was supposed to take.

I had a carbine slide redone before I learned it was way cheaper to just buy an in-spec replacement slide. My beef was the standardized return shipping charge--I hate when companies do that. Carbine slide does not take up near the package volume or space as a Garand oprod (in fact they fit nicely in a USPS fixed rate box for $8), so don't charge an oversize and fragile Garand oprod shipping rate.
