Default WWII M1911A1 7 Round Magazine Made for a Colt Manufactured Pistol

For your consideration is a World War II magazine for the M1911A1 Pistol. This magazine was specifically manufactured for pistols made by Colt. WWII M1911A1 magazines were made by several contractors. These magazines were given a blued like finish “DuLite” rather than being Parkerized. WWII magazines are readily identified by an identifying letter stamped into the top of the lip of the magazine. These magazines were used by Remington Rand, Ithaca, Union Switch & Signal and Colt. But the magazines made for Colt have additional markings on the base, as in this case C-R.
This magazine was manufactured by Risdon for Colt, thus the reason for the R on the top of the toe and the C-R on the base. I would put this magazine as being 85% + and I am being conservative. It would mate with a top rated pistol easily.
I’m an older collector who has decided it is time to start moving some of the collection. These items are from a non-smoking, pet free and central air/heat environment. Please ask any questions in advance of the auction as the sale is final. $75 shipped. USPS money order preferred.
