That’s awesome !! I have quite a few (15 or more) repacks that I’ve never opened the sealed bayonet only the wrapping to check the scabbards. I may have to open a few.
My last bayonet purchase was a few years ago from the North Store. May have to order a few more.

The packaging is pictured under the bayonet, clearly marked M7

Very interesting. What was the repack date on the outer box? I have not seen that style of inner package before.

Too be honest I've always wondered if M6 bayonets would become available through the CMP? Obviously this one was shipped in error but it would be great to see these offered as an option someday if the CMP ever has them in quantity.

Reading some history on the M6 it reminds me of the early gas trap Garands that were redesigned to gas port.

"Ok, that's our newest (M6/gas trap). Looks great!
Wait a sec... found a couple design issues. Fixed! (M7/gas port)"

received and imperial bayonet today in my pack. I was able to tear the wrap inside the plastic well enough to read the name. So call it half opened but still sealed in the plastic.

i did not unwrap the scabbard.
