Default M2 Ball Reloading Data

Hi Orest,

I hand picked and purchased an HRA M1 at Camp Perry back in 2009, one of the most accurate rifles I own. I'm now getting to the bottom of the barrel of my Greek HXP and with the ammunition shortage will be force to reload. I do not mind this, but have not felt comfortable with the information I've been reading on several different forums. I generally like to shoot at 300 yards, and my Son-In-Law and I have had very good results with the Greek Ammo. From what I've read the Powder charges are ranging anywhere between 45 to 52 grains of IMR 4895, then there is the debate between 150 Gr Flat to 152 BT for M2 Ball then as high as 168 gr. The last thing I want to do is damage the Op Rod or any other part. If possible could you provide the Best Data that will match this round.

Thanks,

Craig

P.S. I also have a CMP Springfield & Winchester M1, Anxiously awaiting the release of the International Harvesters.

Not Orest, but you might get more answers in the reloading forum. FWIW, you can buy more HXP, they have plenty at CMP.

Also, I don't think the CMP or its employees will answer reloading questions. See the subtitle on the Reloading Forum.

correct, we will not answer reloading questions. We do not reload and cannot be put in the position as being experts on the subject.
