Talking Front Sight Seal Installation

Trying to install a front sight seal on my M-1 (9-42 bbl) without ruining it. Has anyone been successful? Thanks in advance.

I would also like to know the answer to this question. I do know that this seal can only be used with the special rebated head Allen screw. It also seems to me that it would be a good idea to make sure you get the screw super tight and use Loctite on the screw threads because after the seal is in place there is no way to tighten the front sight if it becomes loose short of destroying the seal. Has anyone here ever installed one of these seals on the narrow base gas cylinders ? I assume it's just a press fit.
