I have an old can--half full--made by the S.C. Johnson Co. of Racine, WI. The people who brought you Johnson Wax. Thing I noticed about it is that it smells the way magic markers used to smell, before they removed all of the cancer-causing chemicals!!!

I bought a case of it at a gun show couple months ago. It should last the rest of my life. It smells so good!!! Reminds me of when I was 12 years old and learning from an old neighbor (WWI veteran) how to properly clean an 03 Springfileld barrel.

I got the white, milky looking stuff made in NYC. Works pretty dang well and you can't beat the price.

The smell was a real problem in the night jungle of Viet Nam. The VC could smell the Americans due to their bore cleaner. ODD? But true. The Army changed the bore cleaner to try to eliminate the odor. Eventually, LSA came along and so did an improved bore cleaner.
