Default Table of Acronyms??

Hey all, like the rest of you I learn a bunch in watching this forum...I've picked up on numerous acronyms and their meaning over the last 18months or so...but is there, anywhere in the forum, a table of acronyms and their translation, or a useful thread I can refer to? Wanna learn without asking too many elementary questions...thanks!

One of the most frustrating things about understanding the English language today is the proliferation of acronyms.
The first thing I was taught in Technical Writing was to define every acronym the first time I used it without regard to the possibility that some readers may already know what it means.
Sadly, that practice seems to have faded away. Some documents simply add a list of acronyms and their definitions to the appendix but many more simply believe that every reader knows what it means.
A single acronym can have many definitions. It depends on the context in which it is used.
I wrote Military Technical Manuals and the military has a way of coming up with new ones almost daily.
Here are two resources that may help you but good luck if they do not.

Find out what any acronym, abbreviation, or initialism stands for

I too would like to see a glossary of the acronyms that are used by the CMP especially the manufacturers. Reading the auctions page is very confusing when one isn't familiar with the manufacturers. Thanks!

Yes, there are a LOT of them unique to this forum and these guns...I just learned what "DBU" stands for as I was about to "BT" about my order for a "QH" "BR" that was "OOS," fortunately, I figured it out before the "WRA" "SG" became available, and I sent my order in "USPS." I'm planning on making a trip to the "NS" next week to pick up matching "HRA" and "SA" "SG" if they get back in.

Though this doesn't address acronyms, the Glossary of Terms from the GCA site can also be helpful.....

I still can't figure out DBU. In all those lists all I could find was Dallas Baptist University and I know that ain't it.
