Default 1911 arrived

It has a Colt's PT. F.A. MFG CO. Hartford. Conn. U.S.A. slide with numbers 7790314 on the other, new barrel, GHD, ANAD 4 76, SA,. Where would I find the frame information? These photos taken in the sun and shows the finish as it is, reminds me of my Valmet76 finish. I Like It!

I believe they write the manufacturer of the frame on the tag, so I think you may have a matching frame and slide....

With 1911A1ís it is pretty easy to identify frames:
Inspection mark of FJA is either Remington Rand or Ithaca
RCD in circle is union switch and signal
A frame with an s prefix serial number is singer
Any thing else ( primarily ghd) is colt

Some of these have been heavily sand blasted. I guess from numerous rebuilding. But it is what it is. Good for you. At least you got yours! I'm still waiting to see if I get a number.....Thanks for posting pictures.
