I removed this barrel from a non-CMP garand. There is a stamp to the left of the part#. It looks like a crown over a scripted "R".
Any ideas who is the manufacture or what country stamped it ? ![]() ![]() ![]()

Maybe a Danish replacement? I know VAR barrels have VAR stamped on them. Just a W.A.G.

Believe that you have a Norwegian made barrel. The crowned letter is a stylized "K" for the Kongsberg Arsenal. Kind of a scarce barrel.

Do you know where this garand came from? Would be interesting to know how it got here? That is the first one I've seen. There were some parts kits available in the late 90's that were Danish/Italian parts--I think from Danish rifles that could not be brought in, but the parts kits could. Would be interesting to know if some Norway Garand kit came in? Any other strange marked small parts? |

I posted the same barrel. It actually came on a Winchester Field Grade. Last edited by OreoTSi; 01-31-2012 at 12:56 PM. Reason: changed info |
