Default Danish Ammo

I found a case,540 rds, 68 enblocs various manufacturers, 8 bandoliers in wooden ammo box , headstamp AMA 73. En Blocs include some stamped sa small letters , Amp 2 & 3, IS4 , fE, NW, S and the majority MB over Z. Pretty Decent find I think , Don't know what en Bloc are worth.

I believe that most guys thought the Danish ammo was really good. Only drawback was that I believe it was Berdan primed.

Your right. It was good shooting ammo except for it being berdan Primed. The brass was nice and clean. It was a shame that it was throw away brass.I got scrap price for it at the junk yard.

Default Danish

It is essentially a non-reloadable case. There are some tools available for reloading Berdan primed cases but the US version is all Boxer primed cases. US die sets are designed to deprime these cases. The quality of the Danish brass is excellent, it is simply the priming system used by many European countries.

It is good ammo but it will not run my 1941 Johnson for some reason. Works fine in a Garand and is accurate as or better then HXP or LC. Berdan cases are not worth reloading for a common caliber like 30-06. I get $1.80 a pound at the scrap yard for them.

Although - at least berdan primers are available again through DAG ammo.
