Default CDVS.US / Big Sky Surplus 7.62NATO in Garand Enblocs, Food for your M1 308 Special?

I was scoping around for 7.62NATO ammo and came upon this. it looks like M80 BALL packed in M1 Enbloc clips by the goverment.

http://www.cdvs.us/308-Military-ball...-can-P225.aspx

U.S. MILITARY BALL AMMO IN 8RD CLIPS,384RD CAN. THIS AMMO IS GREAT FOR COLLECTORS.and in 8RD CLIPS, BANDOLEERS AND AMMO CAN MARKED 384 CTGS. NATO 7.62MM GRADE R, BALL M-80 CLIPPED NAD-C-8/64

I have not heard anything about CDVS.US or Big Sky Surplus. Browsing around they seem to have a lot of rare and hard to find rounds. Check out the tear gas ammo in 30-06 and 7.62nato. yuck......

Winchester in the white box and Federal Eagle 308 is $16.95 for 20 around here. Of course you don't get the clips or bandoliers or can

Think that's bad, try the 308 AP ammo at the low, low price of 9.95 per ROUND!!

Ouch.

The box in the picture does not match the description or the way it should be packed. Here is what the real clipped 7.62 looks like it was made for the Navy and only a couple batches. I have 2 cans of it paid $200 a can for it.

Drbecker, you have some very rare cans indeed. I had some of that ammo, still have a few bandoleers of it, but I've never had an opportunity to get a can full.

Yes the can illustrated on the web site is indeed wrong. That can is for 200 rounds of 7.62mm ammo, 4 ball M80 and 1 tracer M62, linked in M13 links for the M60 machine gun, 100 rounds per cardboard carton and bandoleer, 200 rounds per can, not at all what they are describing. Buyer beware.

I thought the picture didn't match the description. That looks like a standard 30 cal ammo can (which they say holds 384 rounds) and I just repainted a 50 cal ammo can and could only stuff 6 fully loaded bandos of 7.62 in it (that's 288 rounds).
Just looks wrong.
