    Irwin Penderson on gunbroker...

Would you pay $2,500 for any m1 carbine with royal tiger etched into the barrel? I see one on gunbroker right now. I guess the guy has another barrel?

I would imagine the IP receiver is the gold......but a Penderson has to be 1 of 1 no doubt lol.

have you priced, M1 Carbines lately? even a plain jane Inland with or without import marks will fetch 2k.
an IP, even a crusty one would sell for 3 times that.

I partially posted this so people can check out the sale and comment what it goes for. I would think the RTI etching would diminish the value. We will see what this one sells for.

I have two carbines from them and "Royal Tiger" isn't etched into the barrel anywhere. The nice thing about their import stamp is that it is very light. If one so desired, their stamps could easily be peened out.

No, I wouldn't pay $2500 for an I-P, but I'm more a shooter than a collector. One thing I do think is silly is the fact that in the description the seller "X-ed out" the last three digits of the serial number, but shows the entire serial number in one of the photos.

I'm glad that you are happy with your purchases. I saw they had some $1,300 and $1,500 options that should shoot fine. Personally for plinking I prefer a 10-22. My phone doesn't have the best picture and it could barely make out some kind of marking. I guess it is fortunate that it is light if people want to obscure them... I'm kinda curious how high this will go for. I rember the Grand Rapids police department auctioned off three of them many years ago. Seamsike the cheapest one was $750 the best 1 went for $850 but an Inland was going for $300 at a gun show. .

$3,875... I guess one has to wonder whatvprice CMP would be getting if they managed to secure a supply of them. It's hard saying if there are many large stocks of them available to reimport. Supposedly there are a few in Korea yet.
