I pressed my FFL after posting. I now have my RR frame, Colt replacement slide 1911 in hand.

I picked up mine today. Got a Field grade Remington Rand Frame and slide. Looks pretty good to me. If I can figure out posting pictures, I'll put some in the pic thread. Shot a couple of mags through it when I got home, not a tack driver, but a serviceable 45.

Finally picked up my R/R M1911A1 from FFL and NJ's hold (ugh)...looks good...cannot wait to try it out.
After getting shipping info from Bear Pack (a wealth of historical knowledge) I checked weapon and found markings usually found (FJA for US Army officer inspector) but came across "ANAD 975" which with my limited knowledge of 1911, I'm guessing is for Anniston Army Depot and thinking numbers are date of rebuild? If anyone has any facts or info, be appreciated.

According to the info on this website http://www.coolgunsite.com/ you are correct on the ANAD marking. Mine has the same marking but with 12 76 date.

RGN #30,047. Received Remington Rand, frame and slide. I may not have the best eye, but to me everything looks original; looks very good! Can't to shoot it!
