Magazines

Are there any good aftermarket 15 round magazines out there?

A lot of the old threads I see basically say GI or nothing, but $50 each is hard to justify.

Some mention KCI are good ones, then the next post down says Korean magazines are junk.

I have some KCI that are very dependable.

But check out gun shows, estate sales, and pawn shops. I have a bunch of USGI mags and I’ve never paid more than $15 for one. Mostly in the $8-$10 range. They may not be pretty, but they function just fine.

The keepshooting.com m1 carbine magazines are good. They may indeed come from the KCI company above.

I have also had good luck with the Korean KCI 15 and 30 rounders.

Does anyone have experience with Fulton Armory's non-USGI 15 round magazines?

I go to gun shows in Louisiana, Texas, and Arkansas. Just a few months ago I traded three iffy 1911 mags for a KCI and a USGI (I don't remember the manufacturer). At another show there was a USGI for $15 that I'm sure that I could have bargained for if I had been in the mood.

Of course, I'm talking about range mags here, not collectibles.

I'm not saying that you're wrong, but deals can still be found.
