How much do I need to worry about cleaning?
 

I’m a visitor from the northern parts of these forums, so don’t hold it against me if I’m asking a dumb or redundant question but...
I bought a refurbished Daisy m853 at Perry this summer and am having a ball shooting 10m in my basement. But it dawned on me I’ll that I’ll probably need to clean the barrel at some point due to the lead pellets. I’ve searched online and have found felt pellets, patches wrapped around tennis racket strings, nylon brushes. What do you guys do?

Emerson, honestly I don’t know, but shine a light down the bore and have a look. The rifle may need nothing. I had a Benjamin pump for years (lead pellets) and it held up fine with no cleaning - just an occasional lube.

Whenever the urge strikes I put a couple felt pellets down the tube. I think that's sufficient.
