It is random. My wife's and my packets were sent same day in mid January. She is 24,2xx and I am 26,4xx. Wife says "Yeah, that's karma again..."

Random question: Does anybody know what the call center hours are? Meaning, what time do they start calling and what time do they stop for the day? I am down to less than 100 to go now, and I have been obsessively refreshing the forum - looking for updates on what number they are up to.

EDIT: If I know they stop calling 5:00 pm central (for example), then I will stop monitoring my phone at that time.

I didn't get a call first, I received an email to call them. Called and left voicemail. Monique called me shortly after and in a few minutes, done deal. She was very helpful and patient.

(Very nice field grade)

Of the 375 people that have posted both their random number and the date they sent their package, the following are the statistics.

175 of the 375 sent their packages by Jan 5th. That is a total of 46.7%
225 of the 375 sent their packages by Jan 9th. That is a total of 60%. (or and additional 13.3%)
275 of the 375 sent their packages by Jan 15th. That is a total of 73.3%. (or and additional 13.3%)
305 of the 375 sent their packages by Jan 31st. That is a total of 81.3%. (or and additional 8%)

Great number crunching Ferris. There is a variable that's a factor and is not easily measurable but still a factor:

Early packet submiters are more closely engaged with the CMP and are true collectors. Hence they are more likely to follow CMP forums in general.
Late packet submiters are (I'm guessing here but makes sense to me) not true Milsurp collectors. They heard about the CMP M1911 program sometime in February and thought 'What The Hell, Why Not?'
That group didn't report their RGN and never will
Just another variable to consider.

Only 70 of the 375 sent their packages after Feb 1st. That is a total of 18.7%.

An individual received the number 20,500 and submitted on Feb 4th.
Another individual received the number 32,844 and submitted on Jan 8th.
The highest reported number 35,313 was submitted on Jan 12th.

So it was random, it is just the bulk of people got their packets in early which skews peoples perception that early submitter got lower numbers.

I wish more people could understand this. It really is all about the percentages. Nicely done.

Yes, My wife's number is 27,536 and she also received a duplicate email on Aug 4th. I believe she got the original email around April 10th.

Our hours of operation are 0700 - 1530 CST. In truth, sales calls start about 0730 until 1515. We try to work the east coast first to let people sleep.

It has been interesting to follow the talk about percentages when it comes to receiving a RGN. Granted, I'm not a collector and for some reason I felt it would be a good idea to send in my package early (Jan 4); and that action was rewarded with RGN 21406. The main reason for submitting the package was to honor my dad who served in WW2 and carried a 1911a1 while on active duty. I wish I could have inherited his pistol when he passed away but I suspect it is long gone into the posterity. But what I received from the CMP will make up for any loss.

Don't give up, your turn is coming.

We have several staff members that make calls, so there is not "one" number, but it will have a 256 area code.
