RGN 22427- Got the call, but missed it. Got the email too. Scrambling to find another FFL; mine decided to go out of town today for a couple of weeks.

Just got my call from Monique, my number was in a stack to be processed and the person processing was out sick for a couple of days. She apologized but did explain there are only 7 people processing and so sometimes the numbers donít line up exactly.

Glad to hear it all worked out. What did they offer? What did you choose?

How much is the typical time lapse between credit card hit and shipment? Got the call and CC hit yesterday but no ship notice email since.

Ratmotortom 06-09-2021 02:31 PM

Just got the call on 6-9. 3pm Ohio time. Rack and Field offered. Chose field. My FFL was already on file, so I needed to do nothing there. Entire call lasted 3 minutes and 3 seconds. My RGN was 22445. They said I would receive an
email to alert me when it has been shipped.

cwaldensr 06-09-2021 02:52 PM

when is my number up

I have been keeping track of the "1911 Order Thread Round 2" forum. Trying to see how that numbering system works. I just saw an RGN that was higher than mine got the call. So does that mean that the numbering doesn't matter?

My RGN is 22,388.

BTW I'm ok with everything and this is no complaint at all. I am simply happy to have the RGN. For me it's like waiting for a birthday present to come. I'm just asking for my own satisfaction. If there is a thread that answered this my apologies, I didn't see it.

I am so excited to have a piece of history.

There are several people working the packets. Kind of like each one takes a stack. They may call at different rates of speed and there was a report of one of the gals that was off a couple of days that was sick. I'd say in the range you are in, you should expect the call very, very soon. Good luck.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one. My RGN is 22292 and I have seen numbers up in the 22400 range getting the call, but I haven't heard a thing.

bjpsilver 06-10-2021 05:28 AM

I got the phone call on June 2. I was offered rack or field grade and I chose field. Received a Remington Rand frame with an Ithaca slide.
I never received a RGN, just the phone call. I had sent an email about my status in early May, simply because I read all the posts about emails being rejected, etc.
So, don't give up hope if you haven't gotten an email.
Good luck to all and thanks to the CMP for making these firearms available. I've been lucky enough to pick up a couple M1s, a 1903a3 and now, this piece.

Elkoholic24 06-10-2021 09:24 AM

My number not called too and I'm getting passed. I know.... don't worry. lol

Nodakdad 06-10-2021 09:38 AM

Feeling left out, packet was mailed in 1/06, received 01/11, still no RGN.

Same... sent packet in 2/19, received Anniston 2/23...nothing heard re RGN. I have no issue waiting years for my opportunity to own a USGI 1911, but it would be nice to know how far along in the process I might be. Good to know I'm not alone.

Parkr1942 06-10-2021 10:51 PM

Packet mailed Jan 7. RGN 22420.
Received call Tue 6/8, offered Rack and Field, chose Field. Shipped 6/9, retrieved from FFL today. Looks great except rear sight looks like it was dropped on a cinder block.
Remington Rand frame from 1945 (2,170,xxx) with 77 etc slide, Flannery Barrel. Very pleased. Easily could be service grade if it were not for the damaged rear sight. Will try to post some pics tomorrow or Sat

Got the big call when I was on lunch, got offered a rack or field grade. Chose the field, still never got a number or email before the call. Happy camper I am

M1Riflenut 06-11-2021 10:27 PM

22459, got the call today, offered rack or field, went with field grade.

Question, what is meant by a replacement GI slide?

Itís a replacement slide contracted by the DoD. Several companies made them up until the 1980s.

Jk2837 06-12-2021 02:20 PM

So it won't have a name brand on it per say? I was just curious..

Not necessarily, no. Early Colt slides (1940s-50s) will be marked. For some of the later ones you might need to look up a CAGE code or Federal Stock Number (post-1952). Theyíll be made by obscure companies most people havenít heard of.

Jk2837 06-12-2021 02:42 PM

Gotcha, thanks for explaining...my # is 31626 so I've got awhile..lol

hjcook1 06-12-2021 04:20 PM

USMC-Nav 06-12-2021 04:23 PM

hope no sooner. I'm 23024 but just bought a midway carbine(great condition) and am still groveling for forgiveness from her majesty(don't you already have one of these? why do you need another? I countered with a don't you already have a necklace? thatadded a week to my sentence)

tyshawnal22 06-12-2021 06:22 PM

Wanted Service Grade and now I'm worrying if there will be any Field Grade left. $200 is not a big amount between the worst and the best so the best ones go first. At the mercy of the RGN.

Parkr1942 06-12-2021 07:28 PM

Today posted a few pics of my RGN 22420 on my original post on page 43...

Fenris_Bane 06-13-2021 03:23 AM

If the current pace keeps up, I'll predict that they will be up to 23200 range by the end of the month.

pcke2000 06-13-2021 01:24 PM

Looks like the CMP is 'temporarily' running out service grade. I am curious if it was because majority of previous orders were for service grade.

tyshawnal22 06-13-2021 05:37 PM

Service Grade

Nearly everyone selected Service Grade until they ran out. Now everyone is selecting Field Grade and they will probably run out soon. I keep hoping the throw in some more Select before they get to my number. Sure hope so.

msmith5150 06-13-2021 07:05 PM

I hope they slow down a bit! My number is just over 30k (can't remember exactly, too lazy to look it up) and I had to dip into my 1911 savings. I need to get that built back up!

I hope you're right, cause I'm 22,700-something, so maybe I will get a call tomorrow.

Well, I've been keeping track of all the reported contact dates vs. random numbers.

My guess is that 22,600 should be Mon June 14th or Tues 15th.
And that 22,700 should be Thurs June 18th or Fri 17th.

The random number range for last week was about 370 with a 1 outliers and 3 with no contact shown of 20 random numbers listed. (Or about 50 contacts per day.)

Not counting the outlier, the lowest number reported contacted last week was 22143 and the highest was 22511.

The wife's number is 22,611. My prediction (from reading your posts) was mid June back in the beginning of this thread. Early last week I narrowed my prediction to Wednesday of this week. Last week Friday, I told the Wife she'd get the call Monday or Tuesday. Looks like you were spot on my friend. Now if I could just get a rgn lol.

Zman 06-14-2021 10:54 AM

RGN 22,605 got the call today offered Field/Rack took field.

And Service Grades appear back. Now Field Grades seem gone,....for now.

A friend of mine is in the same boat. When they contacted CMP a few weeks ago CMP said to check back in August. This is already after being told to check back in June.

adangelo2020 06-14-2021 05:38 PM

I donít think itís an error. The last two guys to post are both reporting Service or Rack today.
