Anyone have a Tippman?
Curious if any one else has a Tippman .22?

I picked up a M4 22 Elite last summer for cheap fun on our range. Have to say I am impressed with the accuracy and reliability so far. We have shot about 3000 rounds through it.

My wife says it is her favorite second only to her M1 carbine.:)

Yes! Two of them. Bought first NIB ( way under retail) and bought second one slightly used at even better price. What's not to like?? Alloy construction. Controls mirror M16/AR15. Very high quality rifles. Mine will digest ANYTHING.22. I added some MagPul furniture (just personal taste) and scoped one. With .223 costs, these are getting a lot of use. And providing a lot of enjoyment :D

I shot a steel match with ours last fall and really had a great time with it. Since then i added a Vortex strike fire II red dot to it, Amy says that makes it way to easy!

Certainly makes range time more affordable nowadays, given the number of rounds we have shot we have probably have paid for the rifle... LOL!

Bought the pistol and the rifle and both run great, will buy 2 more to put away for grandkids
Solid construction, make the M@P 15-22 seem like a toy
The Tippmann Gatling gun looks fun also

I went out this past weekend and shot a steel match with a buddy who has a Tippman elite as well. We shot about 125 rounds each with zero issues, what a fun inexpensive day!

Are the Tippman lowers compatible with a 5.56 upper, or are the .22lr only?

I would like to get a .22 upper and just slap it on one of my existing lowers, but the uppers seem to be hard to find right now. (No surprise)

I believe they are not.

Local store just got a bunch in stock, both the Elite (aluminum M-Lok 12" hand guard) and the Pro (shorter, plastic/composite one) both free float. I was tempted, but what about a dedicated upper for an existing AR or the bolt carrier .22 conversion kits? Like AWOhio, I was thinking about getting a RRA .22LR upper if they bring them to Perry, but this complete rifle is cheaper and seems really well built.

I cannot speak to conversion kits as i have not ever owned or shot one. I do like the idea of being able to convert an existing rifle to .22 for economic reasons.

My Tippman has been reliable provided I keep the magazines clean. A quick scrub with Hoppes and a toothbrush on the top of the magazine after each range trip keeps it running smoothly.
