Was the package sealed when you got it? Its a arsenal repack, if sealed I would say the packer missed it was a short fork . If not sealed there are two possibilities. As I said before the packer missed it being a short fork or the seller put a short fork in that package to help it sell.
Who knows anything is possible?

I didnt buy the part, I just saw it and was really curious about it. The seller had pictures of the pack opened just enough to see the short forks. It was too pricey and I was able to find one from a member here.

Thanks Bill. The info on the threads still being in the white, and the pin on the trigger, are great things to look for in NOS parts. Never knew that.
