I just received two more replies from requests back in June/July
This pistol was marked A 11 83 and had a Remington frame and slide.

This letter is in response to your Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request dated July 11, 2020, reference number AMC FOIA # FP-21-003025/FA-21-0180. The request is for ownership history on a Remington 1911A1 Pistol, serial number 15264xx.
The following Information was found in the DoD Small Arms/Light Weapons Registry for an M1911A1, Pistol Caliber .45, Automatic, NSN: 1005-00-726-5655, Serial Number: 15264xx. The records for this weapon are listed below in chronological order:

1. January 13, 1988 - The Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany, Albany, Georgia shipped the weapon to the Anniston Munitions Center, Anniston, Alabama.

2. February 03, 1988 The Anniston Munitions Center, Anniston, Alabama received the weapon from the Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany, Albany, Georgia.

3. January 26, 1991 The Anniston Munitions Center, Anniston, Alabama shipped the weapon to the Director of Logistics (DOL) Supply and Services, Fort Benning, Georgia.

4. February 19, 1991 The Director of Logistics (DOL) Supply and Services, Fort Benning, Georgia received the weapon from the Anniston Munitions Center, Anniston, Alabama.

5. October 29, 1991 The Director of Logistics (DOL) Supply and Services, Fort Benning, Georgia shipped the weapon to the Anniston Munitions Center, Anniston, Alabama.

6. January 04, 1992 The Anniston Munitions Center, Anniston, Alabama received the weapon from the Director of Logistics (DOL) Supply and Services, Fort Benning, Georgia.


7. February 27, 1999 The Anniston Munitions Center, Anniston, Alabama shipped the weapon to the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Distribution - Anniston, Anniston, Alabama.

8. February 27, 1999 The DLA Distribution - Anniston, Anniston, Alabama received the weapon from the Anniston Munitions Center, Anniston, Alabama.

9. September 08, 2000, January 31, 2003, January 29, 2004, January 23, 2005, February 12, 2006, January 29, 2007, January 27, 2008, January 25, 2009, January 24, 2010, March 06, 2011, December 03, 2011, January 19, 2013, March 07, 2015, May 01, 2016, March 05, 2017, and June 04, 2017; the DLA Distribution - Anniston, Anniston, Alabama conducted annual weapon serial number reconciliations on the weapon.

10. February 02, 2018 The DLA Distribution - Anniston, Anniston, Alabama shipped the weapon to the United States Army Tank Automotive and Armaments Command, Anniston, Alabama.

11. February 02, 2018 The United States Army Tank Automotive and Armaments Command, Anniston, Alabama received the weapon from the DLA Distribution - Anniston, Anniston, Alabama.

12. February 02, 2018 The Tank Automotive and Armaments Command - Anniston, Alabama shipped the weapon outside the DOD to the Civilian Marksmanship Program South - Anniston, Alabama.
