This pistol was marked LEAD and had an Ithaca frame and slide.

This letter is in response to your Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request dated July 11, 2020, reference number AMC FOIA # FP-21-003023/FA-21-0179. The request is for ownership history on an Ithaca 1911A1 Pistol, serial number 18203xx.
The following Information was found in the DoD Small Arms/Light Weapons Registry for an M1911A1, Pistol Caliber .45, Automatic, NSN: 1005-00-726-5655, Serial Number: 18203xx. The records for this weapon are listed below in chronological order:

1. March 21, 1975 - The Installation Supply Director of Logistics (DOL) Fort Campbell, Kentucky registered the weapon into the DoD Small Arms/Light Weapons Registry.

2. January 06, 1992 The Installation Supply Director of Logistics (DOL) Fort Campbell, Kentucky shipped the weapon to the Anniston Munitions Center, Anniston, Alabama.

3. February 26, 1992 Anniston Munitions Center, Anniston, Anniston, Alabama received the weapon from the Installation Supply Director of Logistics (DOL) Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

4. February 27, 1999 The Anniston Munitions Center, Anniston, Alabama shipped the weapon to the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Distribution - Anniston, Anniston, Alabama.

5. February 27, 1999 The DLA Distribution - Anniston, Anniston, Alabama received the weapon from the Anniston Munitions Center, Anniston, Alabama.

6. September 08, 2000, January 31, 2003, January 29, 2004, January 23, 2005, February 12, 2006, January 29, 2007, January 27, 2008, January 25, 2009, January 24, 2010, March 06, 2011, December 03, 2011, January 19, 2013, March 07, 2015, May 01, 2016, March 05, 2017 and June 04, 2017 The DLA Distribution - Anniston, Anniston, Alabama conducted annual weapon serial number reconciliations on the weapon.

7. February 02, 2018 The DLA Distribution - Anniston, Anniston, Alabama shipped the weapon to the United States Army Tank Automotive and Armaments Command, Anniston, Alabama.

8. February 02, 2018 The United States Army Tank Automotive and Armaments Command, Anniston, Alabama received the weapon from the DLA Distribution - Anniston, Anniston, Alabama.

9. February 02, 2018 The Tank Automotive and Armaments Command - Anniston, Alabama shipped the weapon outside the DOD to the Civilian Marksmanship Program South - Anniston, Alabama.
