they make more money on a full model with new wood.
It creates just a little more to keep the armors busy.

years ago the sold low grade rcvrs with pitting. now the slap a new barrel on them and build the into "Specials"
It creates more work to keep the armors busy.
Most likely a larger profit margin also

Do bare auction receivers not get shipped directly? They must go through an 01 or 07?

Aren't there some states that won't allow direct shipments to a buyer's residence from the CMP? I had a B/R shipped to me last summer but then ND doesn't have any restrictions on that.

not true at all. CMP ships (or used to, when they sold them) stripped receivers and barreled receivers directly to your door. no ffl

Like you Sean I have ordered both the receivers and barreled receivers from the CMP in the past. I think we all wish we would have ordered more of the Grade C receivers and the same with the Navy barreled receivers they were selling. These were both delivered to my doorstep.

I would guess the armors are plenty busy with the current back log and it would help ease it some. I wish I would of bought many more of those low grade receivers, $125 if I recall correctly. I'm wondering if this is a down stream shortage (stocks) because of the China virus, have you bought a 2x4 lately?
