Stuff happens - but since my number is 25375, I'm just trying to figure out where we really are.
I would suspect that he made a typo. I'll bet his number was 24,520 and not 25,520.

That is because 24,517 was reportedly contacted on Fri. Sep 3rd.

Other numbers recently reported.
24,546 was reported on Sep 8th.
24,547 was reported on Sep 8th.
24,557 was reported on Sep 7th. (soshuman)
24,630 was reported on Sep 9th.

So a day or 2 before other close grouped numbers is not uncommon. A 1,000 difference is a month or more difference.

25,517 is higher than my number.

I assumed it was a typo too, as did others who questioned it - but he then posted a picture of the RGN email he received from CMP and the number was 25,520. It looked genuine.

Perhaps the email itself was a typo?

In any case, glitch or whatever, the good folks at CMP 1911 continue to make headway despite the challenges they've faced.

Life is good.

There are several possibilities.

1. The email has a typo. I think this is unlikely because it is automatically generated.
2. The photo of the of the e-mail is fake. This is easy to do and the most likely.
3. His packet got incorrectly placed into the active call list. This is possible, but I don't know enough about the CMP's process to determine if this is even possible.

The only case were people reported being contacted "out of order" early were numbers 24,368, 24,369 & 24,376 who were contact about 8 to 10 days before the numbers either side of that range.

In this case, I believe it is simply the difference between the people making the call. Never seen a case of someone being contacted a month early.

There are 4 other people listing RNG in that range. So there is that also.

Still waiting. Based on the current speed, it looks like no Christmas 1911, maybe March one? High 29,000's here.

If the CMP can keep up 700 a month like they did in Round 1, then it would be another 8 months or May 2022.

Haha, I knew my lucky number meant a couple year wait anyway.

Consider this ...

The maximum the CMP can receive per Fiscal year is 10,000 pistols divided by 12 months is 833 per month average.

If the CMP only receives 8,000 pistols like in the first year FY 2018, that is only 667 pistols per month average.

The CMP as not discussed the amounts of pistols they received in FY's 19, 20 &21.

The FY 22 allotment can come any time between 1 Oct 2021 and Sep 30 2022.

I wonder if there is any public record of what has been sent to the CMP.
