If you want a repeater! You have to machine and fit a bottom back into the 03 and correctly or it wot feed. So, yeah its time intensive if you have a good smith/machinist working at hourly wages. $3500 would be say a good starting point, then add the stock work.

Sure, to a good smith that’s no issue. Fit barrel index it, cut chamber headspace. You can use spindex off index mark 90 degrees and fit front sight. Something you have to do with any iron sighted barrel. Im no machinist but have watched it few times. These are basic smithing concepts.
