The benefit of a three wheeled jogging stroller/3 gun cart is the ease of moving the cart between shooting positions (especially from 300 to 600). Sport carts like the Mac Sports four wheeled cart has the same advantage but neither work well as a shooting stool on the firing line. Hauling a fully loaded two wheeled stool/cart conversion can be a challenge over rough ground. Has anyone ever built a stool/cart with two axles and three or four wheels? Has anyone used additional parts to lengthen the wheelbase? If yes, how did it work out, was it worth doing and what parts did you use? Option #2 would be to load the stool into a sports cart to haul everything between firing points and just take the stool from the ready line to the firing point. Any and all suggestions are welcome! |

I keep my shooting gear in my cart and my gear in a backpack. Backpack holds a small lunch cooler, 1/2 gallon water, rain jacket, sunscreen etc. That way I can keep the weight of the cart down, plus leave the cart behind and take the backpack for pit duty. Also, my cart stays configured for shooting and I know where everything is; this might not matter at a club match but at a place like Perry it is essential to be efficient because you only get two minutes before rolling into prep.
My backpack was about $10 at Walmart. My cart is a creedmoor stool with their cart conversion kit. |

not cheap but I've seen a couple of these on the line
The rifle carrier and scope carriers are built like a tank. The video shows a guy picking up the whole cart by the rifle and scope stand. He never touches the cart https://www.etsy.com/shop/RangeDonke...platform-mcnav |

Here is my old work horse. Cheap and effective. Harbor freight dolly, atv rifle racks(holds 2 rifles for 2 match days)
All range gear has a place, spotting scope, mat, coat. My Creedmoor deluxe stool hangs on a hook and holds all the little stuff. Also an umbrella onboard for rain or shade. Cooler for lunch, snacks and drinks also makes a nice seat in the pits, stows in under stool. You can throw a small pack on the cooler if you need to haul anything else. The whole cart can be covered with a usgi poncho & secured with bungies. I've had it for about 4 years now, tweeked things, added stuff, removed items. It works for me. Survived the Viale death March 19,21,22. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sent from my SM-A515U using Tapatalk |
