I had really good results with 8mm mauser Turk 1938 vintage ammo. Have no idea how they were stored but nary a failure to fire vs Youg 1954 which often required a double strike from the firing pin to go off.

What say the crowd?
Thanks
I like the sealed can...but If some of the folks that have opened theirs think I should open & repackage I'd likely do it. I would like to preserve the ammo as long as possible... My can looks good with no signs of damage.

Leave it sealed up. Should be good for years.

Default Turk 30-06 @ Century Arms

Century Arms has it in stock, 720 rounds on clips for $540.00, shipping is $14.99. I ordered and received the 1000 round tin from Classic Firearms.
I have 2 cases of the 720 round tins on order.

I just received my case from Centerfire. Shipped same day as ordered, doesn't get any better than that. I'm going to repack it in 50 cal cans with desiccant packs for ease of handling and storing. My can has 2 corners dinged in where it was dropped on them. Not bad, but very noticeable.

Century sold out if them a day or two ago, so you will have to seek out other vendors that may have this configuration (with the enbloc and bandoliers).

My can had the seal broken where it was dropped on a top corner so I went ahead and opened it. Used a torch to carefully melt the lead and the entire top pealed right off. A magnet doesn't stick to the can, tin? Got new looking 1965 dated, looks like good stuff. Did notice the 2 rounds in the bottom corner that was also dented in had noticeably bent case necks and bullets.

There's been a report on reddit of a case head failure causing damage to someone's garand.
