Bought M1 Garand, did it come from CMP?

Where did you end up finding this rifle? Look similar to one I saw recently but can’t remember where. Don’t think the CMP will have anything on this if it’s an actual trophy rifle, which means it would have come out of army storage. Nice rifle, seems like a very specific collectors niche.
