Rifle has arrived, no slashed stock, but this Rusty does have some rust. Rust with some pitting on the length of the barrel. Initially I thought it was just preservative, but it is definitely rust.

An interesting thing about this rifle is that it came with a red sold tag on the barrel with a persons name and "Ohio" written on the tag. The rifle was clean of all yellow preservative, so it must have been out on the racks at the North Store. Overall I'm satisfied with the rifle, but not quite as nice as the one I received back in July.
