That they do. I ordered a new shield and adapter last week.

My Merit rubber is all rippled and warped. I shot it with Ballistol and have to strapped down flat in a home made jig. If it doesn't flatten out, how does the thing come off the aperture? I studied it but didn't want to force it. Stretch/friction fit?

That is a good question. I always thought they just slid off like an Anshutz but found out different when I purchased one off ebay.
Will see what we hear.

Thanks, Rimfire.

Mine will need some work on the bluing and markings. Anyone have some advice on that? On a Palma I bought some time ago, I tried to repaint the white and just doing that didn't turn out very sharp, so I took some 4/0 steel wool perpendicular to the markings and they cleaned up. Then I touched up the bluing and it came out very nice. I guess the bluing won't effect the white enamel.

The shields from Merit are $20 and are installed on a brass mounting cup. Pop the thin metal cover off and remove the 3 screws securing the shield/brass cup to the body. Tread softly or better yet, give Merit a call.
