Default FFL submitted in paperwork went out of business -- easiest way to rectify?.

I'm expecting my number to be called within the next couple of months. The FFL I submitted in my paperwork has since gone out of business. What's the easiest way to rectify this for CMP? Should I have the new FFL email his license now, or wait until my number is called and arrange to have the license sent then?

WRONGGGGGGG, everyone must submit an FFL, does not matter if the FFL holder is already on file. There is no "blanket" FFL. The nice lady will be spoken to.

My FFL is also out of business now.

The linked CMP 1911 info page really doesn’t specifically address how to handle the need to provide a new / valid FFL.

So do I have the new FFL send an email to the CMP1911FFL address ahead of time before my RGN is called, or should I be waiting until I get the call that the CMP is ready to send me a pistol? None of the FFLs I have ever used have ever been thrilled with just emailing me their FFL to then forward on, so I suspect they will want to email it to CMP themselves?

Can anyone confirm exactly what to do?

Wait until they call you. What if you have your FFL email them their license today, and it expires in 2 months, and you get called in 3 months? Then you have to have them send it again.

I just won a pistol at auction and they needed an updated FFL from me because my the FFL they had on file was expired, so they needed it updated. They know these things happen and they handle it well.

My example, this late spring was - that I first sent them a friend of mines (from Pennsylvania - as I had just moved back to WA) and I then as my number got close, contacted a local FFL and they emailed it.

When called for payment, the nice lady asked which was correct, although she assumed the one in WA was, and I told her she was correct.
