Hi, years ago I acquired a 1903 Springfield, 1919 production year. I pulled it out the other day and started inspecting it. Every piece of the rifle ( except the stock, some one sportered it) looks brand new. All parts greenish tint parkerizing. I have taken photos of all the parts showing “proof” marks on the metal parts. Is there someone I could email these photos to that is an expert on “unissued “ vs “refurbished “ O3s ?
Thanks! John |

Welcome John.
There is a bolt action sub forum here you can access through the main forum page. Many true experts here can help you. You can provide pictures through a 3rd party hosting site. Most use Imgur. I will say a totally parked rifle is most certainly a rebuild though. Edit to add: The "How To" sub forum has specific instruction threads on sizing and inserting pictures to your thread in the bolt forum. Also this site is a good resource for looking up serials, barrel dates and correct parts for your your '03. http://www.vishooter.net/m1903.html Last edited by pickax; 11-26-2021 at 05:25 PM. John, I believe it is refurbished as Parkerizing the metal didn't come until later. I do look forward to seeing the pictures. Sounds like a good candidate for returning to original configuration. Eddie
