I received the stock today.

This might be harder than I thought. There's more of a bow to the cut that has been made than I could see in the auction photo. This might mean taking off a lot of material if I wanted a flat surface for gluing.

Since this would be used for an A4 clone, it might be easiest for me to define where the bolt notch will be and then see about creating two flat surfaces for gluing on either side of it. It might also make matching the grain a little simpler since there will be a shorter distance to cover.

Interestingly, it does kind of look like Time Bandit's stock. . .perhaps with the work executed by someone on their first day on the job in 1941.
