    WWII original shims needed

I have tried finding original WW II GI redfield shims for my 03a4 an weaver 330 scope.... Nope!!! can't find them anywhere. I can make a shim or buy other stock shims from suppliers, but no original GI WWII shims. Did I read someplace that almost all scope bases on the 03a4 rifles needed shims to get alignment close an not max out the scope adjustments???....... I think they came in three thicknesses. ......sonnyboy

      shims

Thanks for the info. How can you tell how many shims you need to have to just have it perfect??. When fitting more then one shim , i was told to put nail polish on them before placing under the base. He said the nail polish will adhere to the shim sandwich an help the shims to not move...........is this true???........................sonnyboy

Look at the shims that are linked. There is a hole in the shim that aligns with the forward/front base mounting screw....the shims not going anywhere.
