I picked up my 1911 from my ffl yesterday. RNG 11064 delivered 1/7/2020.

1943 Ithaca frame with a colt slide. Service grade.
It was delivered in the nice Pelican style case with the embossed CMP logo. Love it!

Default RIA rework from DCM late 1950's

For your pleasure this is an RIA rework purchased thru DCM in late 1950's. Pistol still resides in it's RIA cardboard shipping box and is as received from RIA. It is a mix of parts with (I believe to have) original finish: Colt frame, US&S slide, new blued H STD barrel, Colt hammer and RR slide lock. Grips: 1 ea. Colt and Keyes
This pistol looks to have only holster wear with no visible barrel finish wear.

Comments welcome

Thanks, guncotton

Rgn 11903. Field grade received 2/5. Colt/colt with colt barrel. Slide is heavily parked with extremely faint markings

CMP 1911 Field Grade arrived today. Colt sn 905122

I am not a student of all the variations and marks - just glad to get this CMP1911 as my second 1911! The Parkerization colors are the same between barrel and slide, the flash gives them different shades.

Questions -

1. Can someone tell me how to interpret what I see in the pics?
2. What should I look for upon disassembly?

07 FEB 2020 added barrel stamp HS for High Standard and a nice pin staking.

Google is your friend. I typed in "M1911a1 serial numbers and got a list. Yours appears to be a Colt frame (GHD was Colt inspector) 1943

http://www.coolgunsite.com/

Rebuilt in Nov 1980.

Plus coolgun site has disassembly. LOTS of info using google.

Enjoy

1943 Remington Rand with Ithaca Slide. Anastan rebuild 1975 and then put away from the look of it. Bright bore, no rattle.

Thanks everyone! Appears Albany (GA) rebuild by Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany, and quite possibly a USMC (or Air Force or other Non-Army owned) pistol based on thread here:

1943 Remington Rand slide on a Colt frame. Evidently an Albany rebuild in 1977.
