Rack Grade 3/15/23

I did really good with my round #3 RR but what is better for all of us is that so far a lot of of M1911s have been saved from destruction.

Picked it up today. It’s a true rack grade. Rattles pretty good. Markings are unclear and scratches everywhere.

Nice one. I would take this over the sand blasted repark ones they are sending out anyday.

Doesn't look like it went through an arsenal rebuild.
I couldn't read the serial #. So can't tell what year it was made.

Au Contraire...

It quite obviously went thru a rebuild & refinishing (thus the COLT receiver & NUMAX ELECTRONICS slide) at some point in time...maybe not at an arsenal, but most definitely at an Army, Navy, USMC, or Air Force maintenance facility.
