    Gun smith for 1903a3

Last weekend on my way to Florida from Texas for a family vacation I stopped by the TMP and picked up a Remington 1903a3 and a eddystone 1917. When I got home today I decided I would clean them up. The m1917 came apart no problem. The 1903A3 was coming apart fine until I got to the screw that holds the end cap on. It appears some mushroomed the end of the screw and it will not come out. I need a recommendation on either how to work the problem or a gunsmith that can help me? I live in the Houston area.

Are you talking about the screw that hold the front band on? Use a pair of pliers to unscrew it. There are one a few threads. Replace the screw.
