Default I Corps Mike Force ammo belt modification

Circa 1967, The I Corps Mike Force (Viet Nam War ) took a M1 ammo belt, cut the stitch at lower bottom left and right side of pocket , and then stuffed 15 round carbine mags into the pockets. Could carry 10 each magazines this way.
Its a tight fit and works like a champ.

If you have a M1 ammo belt, take a look at bottom pleat ...you'll see the stitch

Little known fact. Don't know if this modification ever done in WWII or Korean War.

Did any Americans STOP waving their US Flags on 09/11/01, because their arms were tired from waving it on 09/10/01?
