Just a couple of the new M14F receivers. Picked them up at my FFL yesterday.

I didnt know JRA had options besides the Rock-Ola. This is the first time I have seen this type of markings.

James River makes their own. These are Rock-Ola receivers.
These were from a group buy on another forum Team14 hence the T14 and the ser# 002 and 003. I will be using their bolts for these two rifles also. New Criterion barrels hand tightened to 7:30 so we are good to go.

Rgr on the M25. If you are talking about the LRB M25, I have 4 of those in my herd for scoped M14s. Nice tool.

I really wish James River would leave off any of those extraneous markings - Rock-ola, the DAS chicken, etc. Just a simple roll-mark stating the basics: "US Rifle, 7.62mm M14F", and the S/N. Just that, nothing more. Then I'd consider buying one or two of their receivers for a build. Until then... no thanks.

While I'm at it, what's with the "FORGED ROCK-OLA FIREARMS" roll mark on the side of the op rod track? Is Rock-ola actually the name of the company that produces the receiver for JR, or is it just a gratuitous sprinkling of the name "Rock-ola" all over the receiver?

Here's to hoping the company does with their silly receiver markings what Chevrolet did with the non-functional trim pieces on the 1965 Corvette - get rid of them!

You can check out Teamm14.com.
For perplexed, your stage name says it all.

I got a little impatient today and nail some parts on the receivers. Should have a chance to get out on my range tomorrow for a little testing.
