Default Grip Panel Question Please

I know the identifying markings for the Keyes grip panels but who made the one marked 5564062?
Thanks,
Bob

My understanding is those where made post WWII. My reference material doesn't tell me who made them.

This is from an old post on m1911.org, it might help.

"They are commonly referred to as "Cold War" grips, the part number alone came into use in late 1953 following the Korean War. The number is derived by adding two digits to the front of the drawing number. The missing material as shown on the bottom grip was common to these grips. I have a few pairs of these grips. During the Korean War (1950-51) Keyes was contracted to manufacture replacement grips. Those grips can be identified by the part numbers on the inside of the grips in addition to the 5 pt star with a K inside, and a mold number. These Keyes grips also have a higher fiber content then the ones produced during WW II. The Korean Keyes grips also had a smaller sized part number. The grips pictured appear to be the "Cold War" USGI grips based on the appearance of the reinforcing rings around the grip screws and backing. The "Cold War" grips were produced at various times, by various manufacturer's, one set that I have is still packaged and has an label:

PLASTIC, BROWN, KNURLED, MIL-M-14, TYPE CFI-20
PISTOL,CAL..45,AUTOMATIC, M1911A1
LEFT HAND, 5564063, 19204, 1 EACH
DAAA0986P1425
With a black ink stamp 9N852 (Cage Code for Mfr.)

These were also available in the mid to late '80s in Black plastic, and are current issue to SOT in Afghanistan.
They cost the Government about .69 cents each or less depending upon the year of mfr.

Here is some procurement history:
DATE Contract # SOS QTY. PRICE CAGE MFR.
1986/01 DAAA0986P1425 BA14 35000 0.50 EA 9N852 HAYES TOOLING
1983/03 DAAA0983CA0333 sa9CA 45874 0.55 EA 8V862 CTA INC.
1982/10 DAAA0983C0050 S9C 74101 0.54 EA 9N852 HAYES TOOLING

The grips above are likely these recent types made by HAYES TOOLING & PLASTICS INC. of OLATHE,KS or CTA INC. of SWANSEA, SC. The Government has recently (in the past few years) liquidated numerous USGI 1911A1 parts for Surplus.
