They have the 40x BR's in the South Store now! There were a few on the racks when I was there Sat. $350 each and they were minty! I was told they were put out because they didn't have anymore parts to build them into complete rifles. No idea if 40x or 40XB's

I'll be having a military funeral and I don't care where in the US I'm buried. There are less than 300 people in the US with my name. That's all you get for clues.

Word to the wise- If you take your 40X order to the USPS you will probably not make the cut. I recall The Boss reporting 500-600 rifles? You may think that's plenty and maybe it is but better to be anal and get a 40X than not to be anal and only have your anus.
No competition from me, I've got mine. I really hope everyone who wants one will get one. These are great rifles.

I don't think you are getting much of an advantage on me and others. Plus if they have 900 Remingtons they should last for a couple of months at least.

What alternative is there? Unless you live close to a store. Orest already said no E-store reservations.

I think there may be some confusion in this thread between the future availability of whole rifles, and the current availability in either mail order and apparently now the south store of barreled receivers. It makes sense that as they go through the rifles and see how many they have to sell that they'll end up with some extra barreled receivers and that the quality of those will go up for a while.

Just noticed the M1Cs were announced today with mail orders accepted effective immediately. If forthcoming .22 release is handled the same way, then over night would be the only way to go.

That's true although I believe the assumption is that the M1Cs will not sell out immediately - not just because of the $3K up front but because the ring/scope situation is so bad.

Yes, Orest will post saying that they will be ready. The cmp might send out a mass email, however if you wait to see it, they could be all spoken for by then. Best thing to do, at least I think, is to check this site every day. I've already spoken for a days vacation at work for the first day that the North store will have them. I would rather hand pick one but will be happy if I can get one either way.
