I got it! Order received 6-13, DBU 6-21, Order date 6-30.

There is hope for all of you who got late DBU's.

I got a USMC 40X and a 40X barreled action.

I never got a DBU or anything on E-Store. I was called by FEDEX today telling me that my invoice 3647xx Department # 40XHB/40X will be delivered on July1 by noon.

Due to working 48 hour shift and no overnight in my area on a Sunday missed release so snail mailed the 13th.
Got a call on 15th or 16th that I missed out on 52D but would be getting a 40X USMC.
DBU the 22nd order received on 15th

I was under the impression that the 40XUSMC would be the first to sell out. Sounds like the 52's were the first to go. Were there fewer 52's than 40X's?

Geez Smoke,

Your post makes me think maybe I might get a 52 afterall. My order form got in on the 14th but I never got that call. They charged my CC for a 52C and they've never charged my card for an order that wasn't going through before. Ok, I'll let my hope build up a little.

Well, got the 40XUSMC. Perhaps the crappiest stock I've gotten from the CMP. The butt pad is almost completely shredded. I'd rate this one as a field grade, or even a rack grade (is there a lower grade than rack?).

Ordered a new stock from Numrich - hopefully I can improve the aesthetics of this rifle.

Steelap,
My USMC had the same issue with the butt-plate. Looks like it was dipped in solvent. The rubber/plastic is completely disfigured.

Aside from the stock and buttplate, how is the metal on your rifle?

The metal is OK, some rubs. Bolt is mismatched. Makes me wish I'd gone down to the South Store to pick one out.

I'll just sell this one, if my feelings on it don't change.

Tell you what - spend $1000 for the same rifle on Gunbroker, then you can complain.

Wow, Took almost 3 hours for the "never ask for customer service" reply. You guys are slipping....

Trigger bent in shipping, no telling what other problems it may have caused in the trigger group. Add to that a mis-matched bolt that could well cause head space issues. Sounds like a keeper to me!
