Thank you so much for this.
Perfect timing for me.
I just started my journey into getting double Distinguished and it will certainly NOT be easy from my current 45 pistol skill level.
But it will be fun and less laborious, equipment-wise, compared to my rifle Distinguished journey.

Legged out with rifle in 2017, started pistol shortly after. It's been more difficult that I imagined it would be and I thought it would be difficult.

Don't get discouraged if you suck for a while.

Cross training with a red dot equipped wad gun helps, lets you see more of what's happening with your hold and trigger execution.

As far as less equipment....not likely if you stick with. You don't have to wear a coat and lay on the ground though.
