Default 2016 Games event,Jericho,VT

The latest bulletin from CMP says there will be a games event Sept in Jericho,Vermont. What a great idea.
I was thinking about a couple other stops on the way to make it even more fun.
Springfield Armory comes to mind and FT Ticonderoga,Crown Point,Ft William Henry, then cross into VT at Port Henry on up to Burlington and Jericho.
I really like shooting new ranges and seeing new and historic sites.
Then checked the calendar.Nope, can't do it.So all of you luckies just moved up one spot.LOL.Next year for sure.
Show your support to CMP by preregistering early. We learned from the MN games how important that is.

New England Games at Camp Eathan Allen, Jericho Vermont. Sounded old school so I looked up who shoots there and found this-

http://www.vsrpa.org/html/join.html

Picture at top is of one of the Vermont State Shooting Team members with a pre-war style shooting jacket and old wooden stocked M14! If they got the stones to go up against modern AR shooters with old school gear like that stuff, then that is just too cool! I'll join their association just so I can send them some money.

OK, I use gear like that too, but I'm just some guy that shoots for fun, not a state rifle team member.

I suppose after the New Year the promotional stuff will start. It will be nice to have a week of the Games close to home. Only hope that we don't get several days of hypothermia weather which can happen at that time of year. That mountain in the back of the range is a real weather maker.

Locals are used to it.Home field advantage.
Promotion is best by word of mouth at clubs and gun shows.

My wife has family in Burlington and Vermont in the fall is very hard to argue with. Being from Arizona, that would be a heck of a travel for me, but it sounds really enticing. I just may see if she wants to go on a vacation this year.
