Wish I could help, but I'm in Florida. Sad to see your thread's been read 117 times, and no one in your part of the country has any helpful lead. You can probably do a search yourself of local highpower clubs near you that might hold vintage rifle/Garand matches. That's how I found a club here in Florida that has monthly JC Garand matches. The latest listing on that site is 2006. Try the Iowa State Rifle and Pistol Association site. Looks like you just missed one in Montezuma on the 5th.
