Check the TRUE twist rate on your barrel before picking the bullets and you will be time and money ahead. Advertised twist rates are not that accurate unless you buy VERY expensive barrels. Ask me how I know.

Back in the 80s, I know Douglas only guaranteed +- 1/2 inch in the twist rate.

My point exactly. Makes a huge difference if your barrel is right at the edge for the bullets selected. Just check it and write it down. I have personally seen a 1 in 8 barrel that checked at 1 in 8.7 and hated 75's. Good shooting.

I have shot tens of thousands of H 75 HPBT and have cleaned the rapids dozens of times. I shot a 200 14x slow fire on a reduced for 200. I have never experienced a bullet decentration, although I don't usually push velocity to the max because my local range isn't 600y.

I shoot the 75 ELDs at the 600 with success, but like the Berger's better.
