Default Colt/RR

RNG 16282, rec’d 9/22/20

Service grade with Colt frame (1945) and later Remington Rand slide. ANAD 10 80 rebuild. Mecgar magazine. I am very pleased with beauty, showing her age well for 75 years. Thanks CMP!

Just picked up my 1911, RNG 163XX.

Pistol is a Remington Rand frame with Ithica slide, serial # 22076XX. Looks to have it's original finish and was not reparked! Can't seem to find any rebuild marks either, so it appears to be somewhat of a survivor.

Only bummer is that one of the previous owners appears to have already put an idiot scratch on it. But I guess that means I don't have to worry about putting one on myself!

Can't wait to take it out to the range!

Received a surprise call Sept. 24th, RGN 167xx, offered all 3 grades, chose Service. Pleasantly surprised even more at the FFL Sept. 25th. Appears to be Colt frame and Colt slide; not sure of the barrel marked top - .45 AUTO / 7791193 / 90; left – N P; right – M?
No rebuild marks. Did notice the grips are different.
Trying to learn from Clawson and Poyer, but that is a tall, and steep, mountain.

RNG 16,636 arrived yesterday. It's a 1944 production Ithaca that was delivered to the Norfolk Naval Supply Depot on September 21, 1944. No rebuild markings, but it looks like it has been reparked as the ordnance wheel stamp has been finished over. Pistol came with a TZ replacement barrel and post-war grips. I've replaced the barrel with a parkerized High Standard barrel and installed a set of Keyes grips. All other parts look to possibly be correct now with the exception of the milled trigger. Very happy to have received a matching frame and slide with older parkerizing...definitely worth the wait. Thank you CMP!

Just picked up my Field Grade Ithaca. I am hardly an expert, but other than the one early Keyes grip, it looks to be all correct to me, which is incredible. Even if not, the bore is excellent, the lockup is great and the finish is worn exactly how I'd have picked it. I honestly couldn't be happier.
