Default Hammer stamp under Ordnance Wheel - Danish return

Does anyone recognize what this hammer stamp is? Not my stock. Saw this pic and have never seen a hammer before.

There was a short period where they were using stuff like this as Inspectors marks. I have seen Diamond, Arrows, X , Spade, heart and even this little oddity that looks like a Game Piece. Early on EMcF did not use Inspection marks and then tinkered with these then finally the Butt plate stamping area. Hope this helps. Rick B

Thank you Rick. That's incredibly interesting. If I hadn't heard this from you and seen your example of the other stamp and the EMcF shadow stamp, I would have laughed at seeing one like this at a gun show and embarrassed myself by being ignorant on the one-offs that look odd but are real.

I think the example Rick shared looks like a Key Hole.
