Looking to get into the pistol matches after trying the Garand/Springfield/Vintage and Rimfire matchs at the Western Games that just passed. I’m not the greatest pistol shooter so i’ve been watching videos and reading up a lot on bullseye shoot and dry firing a ton. I have a Springfield mil-spec for the as-issued 1911 match but was curious to see what your guys where using for the military & police match? Unfortunately I don’t own any full size pistols other than my 1911. I do have a 9mm USPc, CZ 75c, and M18 that I might use.
If you have any advice and or suggestions; I’d greatly appreciate it. Thanks again! Chris |

Use the same pistol for the M&P if you want to. I'm one of the few that shoots their CMP 1911A1 in the "as issued" 1911 match, and I've used my mid 90s Kimber govt model in the M&P match, my other 1911s won't make trigger weight. You could likely use any of your others, the 4-inch barrels aren't going to make a difference if you aren't "the greatest pistol shooter."

Thanks for the response; I didn’t know I could shoot my 1911 in both matches. That will save me some $$ instead of buying another full size. |

I would shoot the CZ 75 in the, or the M18. Both are way better than the as issued 1911 in the M&P.
