Default Bayonet Marking

Can anyone provide feedback on what the "H" marking means or represents on this AFH M1 bayonet?
Thanks!

The bayonet points article is a good reference...but it’s not a definitive answer.

Thanks, that is what I thought after first seeing this marking. First time that I have seen an M1 bayonet with it.

I picked up a nice new looking M1 bayonet at the South store last week . It's an American Fork and Hoe. It has the H on the pommel. It doesn't look like it was ever issued.
