Default Mauser 22

Guys,
A buddy of mine here in Tennessee just got a Mauser 22 in trade. He thought it was pretty cool and asked me what I thought. Well, I also think it is cool but have no idea what it is.
I know there is someone here that will have some information to educate both myself and my buddy.
He did some surfing and thinks it was made in 1933.
It is in very nice condition as you can see from the photos.
Any idea as to what it is and what it might be worth?

ES340B or ES350B.

They are excellent shooters. Mine shoots great with CCI Standard Velocity and it matches the range graduations. I use it for 100yd practice.

Guys,
Thanks for the public and private replys.
My buddy took it on trade and will be moving it along but is interested in what kind of value it might have to someone interested in it.
Any thoughts on this?

Rob

I believe that Morphy's has three of them in their upcoming auction set for Apr 27-30. Auction #'s 2026-2028. Pre-sale estimates are between $1000-$1800. Best bids right now are about $500. I would keep an eye on those and what they sell for as a guide.

Just remember that Morphy's charges a 20% buyer's premium, and their shipping costs are very high. They charge you for the boxes, the wrapping, time and labor, insurance, and actual shipping cost (probably a premium on that too). So a $1000 auction purchase price is probably going to cost you about $125-$150 to ship to the FFL of your choosing. And the $200 Buyer's Premium.
